It was a truly wonderful day with Alan in the RedBeard bakery - it was deeply satisfying to make loaves with our own hands, learn about the history of RedBeard, the oven, baking... Alan, our teacher, was knowledgeable, engaging and had us all becoming breadmakers in no time. A very special day - treat yourself and do it!
A fantastic course for anyone who loves to eat or bake bread. For those who haven't yet visited, RedBeard makes some of the best bread in Victoria (Australia even!) and in this workshop you will get to make two of their delicious loaf types. You will learn everything you need to know about making bread from scratch, right from the leaven through to kneading, proofing, shaping, and making. The class is fast-paced but fun, and you also take home SO much bread. Such a great day and excellent value for the learning experience.
