Omg! So much more than sourdough!!! Loved every aspect, the sourdough knowledge, the sustainability, the regaining of lost trades, the education of agriculture and our food source, recognition of local produce love love loved all of it. Please please please do a follow up course!!!! Sweet buns etc. follow you guys to the Australian shores and back.
What an amazing workshop. John is so, so knowledgeable and passionate about sourdough baking and all things sustainable. Loved the experience and would highly recommend the workshop to anyone wanting to learning the art of baking sourdough bread.
Having recieved the workshop as a gift, I eagerly looked forward to the day. The day started off with a lovely drive from Melbourne, through the rolling hills to Trentham. Arrived at the bakery for coffee and buns (delicious), before heading into the kitchen. Workshop was well set-up, easy to follow and relaxed enough to ask stupid questions. Every aspect of the process is covered. Lunch was outstanding (need to go back for a day trip) as was the hospitality all day.
Unlike a lot of other 'learn to make' workshops, you leave with the knowledge, some essential ingredients and plenty of sourdough bread to impress impress family and friends for years to come.
Highly recommended. A great day.
